Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.

Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.

The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

He has published over four dozen titles in total, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
