British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on Monday, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”
